RECLAIMED MORTARS

In ancient China, mortars were traditionally used in pharmacies to crush various ingredients prior to preparing an extemporaneous prescription, also used as drug paraphernalia to grind up pills to speed up absorption when they are ingested or in preparation for Chinese medicine. The reclaimed granite mortars have been widely used as flower pots or used for potted landscape (Bonsai) in modern garden design.
